Elise uses Chinese Medicine to empower people to make changes in their lives for the better. Even after many years of practice, results continue to inspire her as she sees her patients achieve their optimal health. When the body can’t take on the excess load of physical or emotional trauma and leads to imbalances, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can help correct this, helping the body to work efficiently on its own once again, the way it was designed to.

With a double degree in Applied Science majoring in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology, Elise has also been mentored by world-renowned herbalists and acupuncturists including Steven Clavey, Arnaud Versluys, Wang Ju-Yi and Richard Tan.  With a lot of experience under her belt, the primary focus of her practice today is Chinese Medicine gynaecology, fertility and pregnancy care.

Christine has been working as a remedial massage therapist for 18 years.

Working with people from a diverse range of age and mobility, including over a decade in elite sport (predominantly swimming) at a national and international level has helped her to develop an understanding of the different ways people move and use their body, and ways in which massage can be a part of the solution to improve quality of life.

Her curiosity to always look for new ways to build on and improve on result driven outcomes for people has led to a career of continual learning and professional development both formally and from peers and colleagues. Part of this learning has been from the desire to keep up to date with the latest research and methods within her chosen field, but it is also driven by a love of learning and a want to understand the body better.

When treating people, Christine uses a range of remedial modalities depending on the client’s needs and preferences including Neuromuscular pathway work (Chapmans Reflexes, Positional Release Techniques, Low Load Activations etc), Myofascial Release, Myofascial Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, Hot Stone Therapy etc, and has supported many of her clients throughout their pregnancies.

Christine loves working as part of a collaborative team, consulting with other professionals when needed, to best support the health and wellbeing of her clients and has a strong focus on treating the whole person and positively contributing to their quality of life.
